Prologue

    Moonlight bathed the city in soft,calming light as stars danced merrily against the fathomless sky, it was as if time stood still for them. The Daemon with his tattered Fallen wings furled around his shoulders stood upon a tall building ledge his face placid as he watched her. His Angel skating around him on wings of white looking so pure bathed in the moonlight. She smiled at him as she flew closer towards him but still remained out of his reach.

    "Come hither, my angel"his voice was soft and quiet, his wings unfurled as he held his hand out to her.

    The faintests of smirks graced her lips "And why should I?" she crossed her arms a delicate eyebrow quirked in question.

    His laughter was rich and deep a smile marring his beautiful features "No reason," his tail flicked back and forth absently.

    Sadness flickered in her eyes, her wings bristled lightly sending silky angelic feathers fluttering to the ground below. She flew to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, nuzzling his chest softly a tiny whimpers escaping her lips "It's forbidden...they won't stop" she whispered.

    An angel sent from the Heavens to be the protector of Earthly innocences. A Daemon unleashed from the belly of Hell to be a Pact Dealer for the Devil. Polar opposites, a love between two spiritual beings of such high caliber is strictly forbidden. It is a crime against God, an abomination, a disaster waiting to happen. They are starcrossed, lovers while alive and trying so desperately to cling to that love in the chaotic aftermath of tragedy.

    Sanna's wings curled around her shoulders as she felt Magnanimous' arms wrap around her waist "I'm scared,Magna...they''ll keep coming" she gritted her teeth lightly to keep from crying.

    He smiled at the nickname it had been awhile since she called him Magna, he stroked her hair softly just enjoying the bliss of being able to hold her close. She whimpered again "They'll hunt you down."

    "Babe, I'm already dead...a Pact Dealer, what more can they do to me?"

    "They can take you away from me, Magnanimous," she nibbled on her bottom lip, tears streaming down her face "I've already lost you once, I can't lose you again" she gazed up at him, fire and determination blazing in her eyes.

    "Sanna,"he crooked his finger under her chin and lifted her face to meet his,kissing her softly "You won't, ya silly."
